Medieval Mixology: Mead Spritzer

During my time as a peasant dressed time traveller, I developed a bit of a taste for ye-old-mead. If you want to enjoy this Middle Ages classic, I’d recommend bringing it into 2013 as a spritzer. Actually, who am I kidding—the spritzer is probably bringing it into 1983.

Glassware

  • A Goblet

Ingredients

  • 100ml Honey Mead
  • Schweppes Lemonade

Method

  1. Measure out 100mL of honey mead, let it air out for a few minutes.
  2. Pour ice into goblet.
  3. Pour honey mead over ice.
  4. Top up with Schweppes Lemonade.
  5. Squeeze in some lemon juice.

YE OLDE DELISH!

Garnish

  • A slice of lemon
