Fill a shaker with ice and pour in a generous splash of Bombay gin
Followed up with a more restrained splash of Martini & Rossi sweet vermouth
Add the same amount of Cointreau and then a dash of Campari
Pour in a good measure of fresh orange juice and shake
Then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Try garnishing the Old Flame with a flamed orange twist – take a slice of orange peel, removing the bitter white pith from the underside, and squeeze the twist of peel over a lit match. The oil in the citrus skin should ignite, and then you can use your flamed orange to garnish the Old Flame.
